Asian school of Business Management (ASBM) was awarded with ‘’Best B-school
Award” from Odisha Technological Conclave 2018 which has been organised by EVER GREEN FORUM on the eve of Engineer’s Day 2018 at Jayadev Bhavan,Bhubaneswar.Mr Prafulla Samal,Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Welfare and Micro,Small & Medium Enterprises inaugurated this mega event by lighting the lamp.
ASBM Celebrated its 14th Foundation Day
The leading management institution Asian School of Business Management (ASBM) celebrated its 14th Foundation Day on 10th August 2018. On this occasion Prof. Soumendra Mohan Patnaik, Vice Chancellor, Utkal University delivered the Foundation Day Lecture on a central theme of “Ethnography and Corporate Encounter”.
While describing the term ‘Ethnography’ he said it is a highly sophisticated method to understand others. He described the way how to meet with their senses in a very natural way. The ethnographer should learn the language of the community, their culture while diagnosing their internal intensions and requirements.
Prof. Patnaik transmitted this thought and knowledge to the field of Business and Management. He emphasized on the uses of ethnography in understanding others; customers, stakeholders and other interested groups of the business. Prof. Patnaik also expressed the use of this powerful technique in analyzing different business models and solving various research problems. Understanding the pulse of stakeholders is an important aspect in brand creation and brand promotion, he added.
Prof. Pattnaik highly appreciated the idea and way of celebrating the foundation day in ASBM. He advised the budding managers to be humble learners by not rejecting the other disciplines for the sake of prioritizing their own discipline.
Prof Patnaik was felicitated by the founder and group director of the institution Prof(Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak. On this auspicious occasion, welcome address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Kalyan Shankar Ray, Dean, ASBM and Ms.Chayanika Hazra, student of PGDM, second year proposed the vote of thanks.
