GJIMT Organized The Education Tour On International Students Day For International Students
Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology in its first kind of celebration, celebrated International Students Day with its International Students. GJIMT organized a fun filled tour of City Beautiful Chandigarh for its International students and students from overseas enjoyed the city tour and shared the cultural beliefs of their countries with the Indian students of Gian Jyoti.
Students were dressed in their respective country attires. Students from Tanzania, Nepal, Uganda, Zimbabwe and South Africa provided previews of the cultural heritage of their respective countries. Students were in full fun filled mood and they sang many of their country songs and shared their interests and hobbies.
Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology said that International students’ day symbolizes the celebration of unity in diversity and promotion of acceptance and appreciation for other cultures.
Dr. Bedi further said that here at GJIMT we have formed an International Student’s Club under which time to time we organize meeting and get together with our International Students. During these get together we try to build strong bonds with our international students so that they should not feel homesick and can share their thoughts with their local friends. We also run special language programs for international students to break the local language barriers so that they can easily overcome with their daily routines.
Gian Jyoti Institute Of Management And Technology Organizes Keep Your Surroundings Clean Drive Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan
Students of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and technology organized ‘Keep Your Surroundings Clean’ under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in phase-2 Mohali. Around 50+ NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and Rotaractors of Rotaract Club GJIMT actively participated in the drive.
During the drive students took the pledge to keep the surroundings clean, student went to a park near to the campus and cleaned that park. Awareness rally was also organized by the students.
After cleaning the garden students also painted the trees to add more beauty in the garden. Staff members of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management of Technology along with its director, Dr. Aneet Bedi also joined the students for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Mr. J.S.Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management of Technology appreciated the students for their active participation in the drive and idea of cleaning and painting the garden. Mr. Bedi also encouraged students to organize such types of activities in the future also.
