Top Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu

Engineering Course falls under two Categories i.e. Bachelors and Masters.  Bachelors of Engineering are the course of 4 years. It is actually a Eight Semesters Course which include various streams like Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Architecture Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering. This course is also known as Bachelor of Technology in short B.Tech. There are numerous renowned colleges in India that provide this course.

Role / Services of Engineering Colleges –

The most Special role of Engineering Colleges is that they provide Engineers to the country. Students join these colleges as a Normal Student but when they complete their course they get the tag of “Engineer” with them. So these colleges help students to attain that tag and Skills which some students dream of.

Courses of Engineering:

Civil Engineering – Civil Engineering is considered as study regarding the construction or design of roads, bridge, flyover etc.

Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Engineering is considered Mother of all Engineering as it is one of the oldest and forever in trend engineering. It includes the study about Cars, Metro Bus, etc.

Computer Science engineering: This is the era of Computers. So, computer Science engineering is in trend these days. It is considered as high demanded Course which includes study of languages like C, C++, Java, Oracle etc.

Information Technology – This is also a part of Computer Science Engineering that mainly emphasis on Networking, Architecture part of Computers.

Electronic & Communication Engineering: This engineering is actually the Combination of two Engineering i.e. Electronic Engineering and Communication engineering. It includes the study of ways to make communication between Electronics. It includes Semiconductor Study, Embedded System Study etc.

Master of Engineering

Mostly engineering students get Jobs after completion of B. tech, But still if you want to study further there is the option of M.Tech. M.Tech is the two years course which allowed the person to be Master in that particular degree. M.Tech is available for every stream of Engineering like Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering etc..

The students can opt this course in any Private Institution or in any Government College.

Admission Criteria:

Bachelors – The admission criteria for Bachelor Study is All India Level Entrance Exam JEE Main / JEE Advance. To take admission in IIT & NIT Colleges it is mandatory to score Outstanding Rank in this Exam. This Exam is a door to enter into India’s Most Renowned Engineering Colleges.

MASTERS: If you want to do masters in Engineering from Top Most Engineering Colleges. Irrespective of your Bachelor College you have an option to take admission into those renowned colleges through the Entrance Exam GATE. It is not necessary that only BTech holders from IIT or NIT can pursue Masters from IIT or NIT.  Infact doing Master from these colleges depends upon the rank of Entrance Exam – GATE.

Fees:

The fees structure is not same. The fee of B.Tech can be from 30,000/- to 2, 40,000/- and for M.tech it starts from 30,000/- . The fee of every semester would not be same. The fee for every semester can be changed.

Facilities-  

Hostel Facility: As most of the students are not local, so these colleges also provide the hostel facility to girls and boys. The hostels are built within the campus which assured security and safety of  students

Library: There is facility of Library for the students; students can issue books from library as per their requirement.

Transportation Facility: This facility is provided to local students to pick and drop the students from home through Transport like Bus.

Cafeteria: The hygienic environment of cafeteria is important to live healthy life. So, clean environment of cafeteria facility is available in Engineering College.

Labs: For every stream different labs are available so that no obstacle can be face by student to do anything practically. From Computer Lab to Chemical Labs all required things are available in college to explore more.
