What is SNAP?
Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP is a management entrance examination which is conducted at the national level. It is conducted by SIU or Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission to the reputed 15 Symbiosis institutions. This is a mandatory exam to be cleared for taking admission in all the MBA programs of various institutes that fall under Symbiosis International University (SIU). The application process of this entrance exam commences in the month of August every year and the exam is conducted in December. SNAP will go online from the next year onwards and the test paper will be of 120 minutes duration. It will carry 150 multiple choice questions divided into 4 sections.

SNAP Paper Format:

Section 1: 40 marks
Reading comprehension, verbal ability, verbal reasoning
Section 2: 40 marks
Section 3: 40 marks
Section 4: 60 marks
The overall result is given in the percentile and you need to clear the cut off to get admission to the SNAP colleges.

Admission Process to SNAP:
The selection process of SNAP 2017 comprises of 2 steps. The first step to the admission process is to take the SNAP test. This is the first step and based on the performance, the participating institutions shortlist the candidates. In the next step of the SNAP 2017 selection process, shortlisted candidates need to appear for the second round which includes Group Exercise (GE), Writing Ability Test and the Personal Interaction (PI) rounds. The participating institutes then announce the list of shortlisted candidates by the 3rd week of January. The final merit list is announced in the Feb.
The selected candidates need to submit the applications in the individual colleges and they are required to clear the respective rounds of selections that comprise of Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
