NIPER Exam Overview
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research or NIPER JEE entrance exam is an all India level entrance examination, conducted by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research. It is one of the toughest entrance examinations of the country. This common entrance test is conducted in various exam centers across India for allowing students to get admission into various doctoral and postgraduate courses in the domain of pharmacy like:
- M.S (Pharm)
- M. Pharm
- M. Tech (Pharm)
- MBA (Pharm)
- PhD in Pharmaceutical & Biological Sciences disciplines
Aspirants, applying for NIPER Medical Entrance Exam need to meet some strict eligibility criteria and here are few of them:
Qualifying Exam: Students applying for M.S. (Pharm.) / M. Pharm. / M. Tech. (Pharm.), must have qualified B. Pharm. or M.Sc. in Biological Sciences) or M. Sc in Organic/Analytical Chemistry/Life Sciences/Botany or B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering or any other equivalent exam or B.V.Sc. or M.B.B.S. or BAMS from a recognize dboard or university
Minimum Marks: The candidates must have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. For reserved category applicants, 50% aggregate mark in minimum.
Qualifying Exam: Applicants must have qualified M.S. in Pharm / M. Pharm /M. Tech in relevant discipline.
Minimum Mark: For general students, minimum mark is 60% marks, for SC/ST candidates, 55is minimum and 50% marks is minimum for PH candidates

Students, aspiring to qualify the NIPER exam this year, should be more observant. As there is no official syllabus for this national level exam, the candidate must go through previous year question papers for better guidance. Paying attention to the exam pattern and structure as well as time management will be more helpful for candidates.
Entrance Syllabus: (Subjects for Study)
The candidate should put more effort while preparing for NIPER. There is no official course outline, approved by NIPER for the test. But students should give more importance to the subjects like, particularly IUPAC names organic chemistry, stereochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical analysis for better scoring.
NIPER entrance consists of 200 multiple choices, objective type questions which are to be answered in 120 minutes or 2hrs. Each question fetches one mark and each wrong answer deducts 1/4 mark from the total score.
