A notification has been released by the Vellore Institute of Technology for rates next annual Engineering entrance exam, the VITEEE 2019. The announcement states that the online and the offline application form for the examination will be available from 1st of November 2018 for all the interested and eligible candidates. Although the application date has been released, the exam date has been expected to be conducted on 3rd week of April 2019.

The examination for Vellore Institute of Technology engineering entrance exam will be conducted online through a Computer Based exam. The test will be conducted in three sessions on the exam dates. The Eligible candidates sit for these exams to get VIT Vellore campus admissions, VIT Bhopal, VIT Chennai, and VIT Andhra Pradesh admissions.

Application form mode

The interested candidates can fill the application form both in online as well as offline modes. If the candidates want to fill the online application form, they will have to visit the official website and follow the instructions accordingly.

If the eligible candidates want to fill the application form through the offline process, they will have to go to the selected post offices and the VIT campuses to get the application form. The Post offices where the application form will be available for VITEEE exam will be released soon by the officials.

Along with the VITEEE 2019 application form, the candidates will also get the prospectus; self-addressed envelope and exam brochure along with other necessary enclosures while filling the application form offline.

Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VITEEE to provide admissions to the interested candidates in BTech programmes VIT at campuses of Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Andhra Pradesh.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment

The online application form fee for one candidate will be available at Rs. 1150. The application fee for offline VITEEE form is Rs. 1200. Once the candidates fill out the application form and submit it, an application number gets generated. The candidates are supposed to keep this application number safely for future reference.

When the candidates submit all the details, they need to pay the application fee to complete the form fill-up process. The candidates can pay the fees online through debit/ credit card or net banking. The candidates are not supposed to send the hard copy of application form VITEEE 2019 to the Vellore Institute of Technology after the payment.

Eligibility criteria

  • The candidate should have passed a 10+2 examination conducted by CBSE and ICSE boards.
  • The candidate is supposed to fill the application in English language. If the applicant uses any other language, it gets rejected.
  • The cost of application form of VITEEE 2019 is non-refundable.
  • The candidates who want to make any changes can do it after the process of application filling is done. VIT will generate a new window for the online application form corrections where the candidates and correct the application forms, if necessary.
  • The candidate is advised to keep a copy of the application form for future reference.
  • The candidate should get an aggregate of 60% in physics chemistry and mathematics/ biology in the qualifying exams. In the combined marks including all the four subjects should be 50%.
  • The candidate should be an Indian, or NRI, or PIO, or OCI holder.
  • The candidates born on or after July 1st, 1996 are eligible to sit in these exams.
